Types of Workshops:
Realism in Mosaic using Stained Glass: Flowers, Landscapes, Portraiture & the Human Form: We will use traditional and non-traditional mosaic techniques to understand structure, cross-contour, highlights, color, gradation, value and types of shadows. We will learn how to "see" things differently with artist tricks. The students will learn how to mix glass values and colors to define planes, and how to use color most effectively with artist tricks that will be taught. There will be a one hour demonstration and a life-like, 12" x 12" mosaic will begin from a photograph. Return students may bring their own photo to render.

This is a comprehensive workshop that covers materials, tools, grouts, cutting & shaping techniques, placing tiles, substrates(surfaces), adhesives, safety and terminology used in mosaics. A perfect introduction to glass mosaics! After taking this workshop, you will have the knowledge necessary to construct almost any mosaic project. No experience necessary.
